Mid-Morning May 6, 2000
By mid-morning, the clouds had broken, the food was cooking, and the rides
were going. Arts and crafts were being sold. Live entertainment was playing
and it was time for the parade. People lined the street side to see the parade.
Candy, beads, and other goodies were tossed to the crowd. Sirens screamed,
beauties waved, and children smiled. And when it was all over, it was time
to eat. The lines grew out from the crowd as people, young and old, purchased
corn dogs, funnel cakes, and cotton candy.
